The Elements: There are mainly four elements described in Astrology mentioned below and it categorizes the zodiac signs into 4 different elements.

Movable Signs/Cardinal Signs: In Vedic Astrology, the movable sign are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, which means these are dynamic in nature.
Fixed Signs: Fixed Signs includes the Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius zodiac signs; these are fixed in nature and represent the stable approach.

Trine Houses: The 1st, 5th and 9th houses are considered as “Trikone or Trine” houses, these are extremely auspicious and always bless one with good luck and it is also considered as “Dharma Houses” too.
Upachay Houses: The 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th houses are considered as “Upachay Houses” and indicate the overall prosperity and capacity to gain things in life.
Dusthana Houses: The 6th, 8th and 12th houses are very negative or bad houses in Astrology and known as “Dusthana Houses”
Artha Houses: The 2nd, 6th and 10th houses are considered as “Artha Houses” which describes the wealth and how to accumulate wealth through work.
Kama Houses: These are responsible for needs, desires and fulfillment of wishes in life, so 3rd, 7th and 11th houses are considered as Kama Houses.
Moksha Houses: The 4th, 8th and 12th houses in horoscope are considered as “Moksha” houses. These houses are inclined towards death, mystery and Moksha.
Maraka Houses: The 2nd, 7th and 8th houses are considered to be Marak Houses and these are negative houses and deals with matters which may cause fatal. It makes one weak too in life.

Three Most Important Zodiac Signs In Individual’s Horoscope
In Vedic Astrology, there are three most important zodiac signs which rise in any individual’s horoscope and these are:
Ascendant Sign: The zodiac sign rising in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth is termed as Ascendant sign, which is very important and represents whole nature or behaviour of any person. Ascendant is also the Lagna or 1st house, so it mainly focuses on anyone’s personality in horoscope.

Aspect: In astrology, aspect signifies mainly the influence of other planet on certain house/planet. For eg, we are sitting on the chair and we can look at right, left or straight in direction, which means we are influencing to the objects coming in our vision towards these directions. Likewise, Planets also have their own vision or aspects of looking other houses, which is called as aspect of planet.
Conjunction: In horoscope, if two or more planets are placed in one house, then it is termed as conjunction of planets in certain house. For eg: Sun & Moon are placed in 3rd house, and then it becomes the conjunction of Sun & Moon in 3rd house.
Dasha: Dasha is nothing but only the specific period assigned to the planets. It is categorized in different sub periods too. Main Dasha will be known as Mahadasha, sub period will be Antardasha, sub sub period will be Pratyantardasha, sub sub sub period will be Sookshamadasha and sub sub sub sub period will be PranDasha. So based on Dasha system, you will receive the different results in your life.
Affliction: If any planet or house is getting bad influences or aspects or conjunction, then it will be termed as afflicted house or planet.
Benefic Planets: The planets such as Moon, Mercury, Jupiter & Venus are considered to be the soft and benefic planets naturally in Vedic Astrology.
Malefic Planets: Planets like Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu are considered to be the malefic planets in Vedic Astrology. Here Sun is not completely malefic, it can be benefic too. However, as it impacts strongly to any house or planet due to its heat so it is considered malefic one.
Degrees: In your horoscope, you will get the small table showing certain numbers of planets including your ascendant; these are the degrees of planets which signify how influential the planet will be in your life. If any planet is falling close to the degree of ascendant, then it will be very influential planet in your life. These planets will be extreme powerful during its Mahadasha or Antardasha (period). For eg: if your rising ascendant is at 15 degrees Libra, then any planet falling between 13-17 degrees in your horoscope will be most influential one. Combustion of Planet: Planets which comes under the contact of planet Sun within certain degrees or getting conjunct with Sun at a certain range, then that planet will get combusted with the heat of Sun. It is represented by “c” in the horoscope.
Exaltation: The planets are at its very happy state or very strong position at certain degree in certain house, so the state of happiest is termed as exaltation of planet in certain sign and at certain degree. The sign in which planet gets exalted is known as exaltation sign and the planet becomes exalted planet.
Debilitation: On the contrary, the unhappiest state of planet at certain degree in certain zodiac sign is termed as debilitation of planet. The sign in which it gets debilitated is known as debilitation sign of planet and the planet becomes debilitated planet.
Transit: Transit mainly refers to the celestial movement in the sky, anytime planet changes its one sign to another; it is termed as Transit of any planet in certain sign in Astrology.
Motion: In the sky, planet appears to be moving in certain direction, which is considered as motion or movement of planet. Find below the different motions in the sky:
Retrogression of Planets: Retrogression means the planet appears to move in the backward direction in the sky. This process of moving backward is retrogression of planet and the planets becomes “Retrograde Planet” and represented by symbol “R” in horoscope.
Progression of Planets: Progression refers to the direct motion of planet or moving in the forward direction. It is the normal motion of planet and planet becomes direct one.
